Donna Crawshaw was born in Woking, Surrey in 1960, the second daughter to the established painter and author Alwyn Crawshaw. Studying at the West Surrey School of Art and Design added to her foundation of learning started by her father who encouraged her from a very early age.
Turning professional at only seventeen, Donna's paintings were snapped up by galleries and agents all over the world, recognising her obvious talent and potential, and soon her distinctive scenes of animals in rural settings became very popular. Her subjects vary, displaying the versatility of this fine artist, but generally include landscapes, figures, wildlife and flora. Perhaps her favourite of subjects though would be the farm and domestic animals for which she has become widely recognised as a leader in the field.
Nowadays Donna's work is sold through major galleries and to private and corporate clients worldwide.
